Our commitment to your privacy
Your privacy is our highest priority. BeltoVox is designed with a “Privacy First” approach.
1. No Voice Data Storage
BeltoVox does not store, record, or listen to your voice data locally or on our servers.
- Audio is captured only when you actively trigger the recording.
- The audio is processed in memory and sent directly to your chosen AI provider (Groq or OpenAI).
- We never see, hear, or sell your audio data.
2. Third-Party AI Providers
Since BeltoVox uses a “Bring Your Own Key” (BYOK) model, your data is sent directly to the AI provider you have configured.
- If you use OpenAI, your data is subject to OpenAI’s Privacy Policy.
- If you use Groq, your data is subject to Groq’s Privacy Policy. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party provider you use.
3. Information We Collect
When you use our website or purchase a license, we may collect:
- Email Address: To send you your license key and important updates.
- License and Machine ID: To manage software activation and prevent piracy.
- Usage Stats (Optional): If enabled, we may collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the software (e.g., total transcription hours), but never the content of the transcriptions.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies for website functionality and analytical cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how visitors interact with our site. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Use of our website constitutes consent to these cookies unless disabled.
5. External Services & Sub-processors
We try to minimize the number of data sub-processors and the amount of data we share, but we rely on these trusted third-party services to make the BeltoVox experience possible:
| NAME | TYPE OF DATA | TRANSFER PURPOSE |
|---|---|---|
| paddle.com | Name, E-mail address, IP address | Payment processing and billing services |
| cloudflare.com | IP address, Connection logs | Hosting, Security, and load sensing |
| Google Analytics | Anonymous usage data, Cookies | Website performance and user experience |
Contractors: In addition to the above, we may utilize contractor services for development, support, or infrastructure management. These contractors are contractually obligated to keep any accessed data confidential and secure.
International Transfers: Some of our providers (e.g., Google, Cloudflare, Paddle) may process data in the USA or other third countries. Such transfers are based on EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or adequacy decisions (e.g., the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) to ensure your data remains protected.
Note on AI Providers: Since BeltoVox uses a “Bring Your Own Key” (BYOK) model, your audio data is sent directly from your device to your chosen AI provider (Groq or OpenAI). We do not act as a sub-processor for this data, and its handling is governed by your individual agreement with those providers.
6. No Data Selling
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
7. Data Retention
We keep your personal data (email and license info) only as long as:
- Your license is active.
- Necessary to provide you with support.
- Required by law (e.g., for tax and accounting purposes in Hungary).
8. Children’s Privacy
BeltoVox is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
9. Security
We use industry-standard encryption to protect your license data and communications with our activation server.
10. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access and Rectification: View and update your data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your account/data.
- Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Object to Processing: Object to certain types of processing (e.g., marketing).
